Got Bot God? 🤖
About Chipotle's next gig, back to work meal ideas and the new elebot in the kitchen, ChatGPT
Good morning. Presidents Day is on Monday, but unlike July Fourth or Thanksgiving, there’s not really a specific tradition or ritual tied to it. In the hopes of making Presidents Day great again, here are a few ideas:
Make promises but break ’em tomorrow.
Chisel your face into the side of a mountain.
Make your WFH space round.
Get on a diet of steak and ketchup.
On a serious note, considering the extortionate price, does a carton of eggs qualify as a Valentine’s gift this year? And no, this poll will not be used to resolve any marital disputes at our respective homes. well… maybe 😐
In the food world
🌯 Farmesa fresh
According to Chipotle, the only business that can steal customers from Chipotle is Chipotle. The chain is disrupting itself by opening a new restaurant named Farmesa in Santa Monica this March. Farmesa will feature the same customizable options Chipotle is loved for. Guests will have the option of building a bowl, which includes a protein, green or grain, two sides, a choice of five sauces, toppings, and an angry stare from the server when asked for extra guac.
👶 Bedtime feast
A Michigan dad (not Tarun) was left surprised with a $1,000 Grubhub order after handing his phone to his son. Instead of watching Elmo and his merry ways, the six year old preferred a meal with the entire Sesame Street cast and crew. In what would make for a great prank, car after car of drivers pulled in and out of the driveway with pizzas, hotdogs, and shawarmas. Luckily, GrubHub saw the funny side and credited the man with $1,000 worth GrubHub gift cards and enough leftovers for a month.
🤖 Man vs bot
TikTok is having a field day thanks to McDonald’s new AI-based order taking bot. The technology which aimed to make the entire ordering process seamless, feels like reaching a human customer service representative instead. TikTok is rife with videos of orders gone wrong, ranging from incorrect quantities to entire orders being missed. Despite this, McDonald’s still plans to increase its use of AI in more restaurants. But for now, the job of the worker behind the speaker box is secure.
Alexa! Write a food blog!
Since its public launch in November 2022, Open AI’s ChatGPT has captured the world’s attention, showing the extraordinary potential of artificial intelligence (AI). It has drafted cover letters, composed lines of poetry, pretended to be William Shakespeare, crafted messages for dating app users to woo matches, and even written news articles.
With a $10b investment from Microsoft starting an AI war across the globe, food bloggers are getting increasingly insecure with a simple question… What will their future look like?
How can it help me?
Goodbye writer's block: Writing a food blog should not be as stressful as negotiating a hostage situation. With ChatGPT, bloggers can simply type in a few keywords, and voila! A masterpiece is born.
Increased efficiency: Bloggers can now churn out captions faster than a microwave dinner, giving them more time to experiment with new recipes.
Enhanced creativity: Apart from us, ChatGPT is the only tool that can keep your blog engaging with a splash of humor, sarcasm, and sassiness, making it easier for your readers to fall asleep.
Increased reach: ChatGPT is like a magic wand for food bloggers, helping them write SEO-friendly content to please the Google gods for greater reach.
What is the catch?
Decreased authenticity: Food bloggers can Theranos their way with ChatGPT to fake it till they make it. The model's ability to generate human-like text, questions the authenticity of the blog.
Lack of personality: ChatGPT may be good at generating text, but it can never replicate the personal touch and unique perspective of a human writer.
Lack of cultural knowledge: Being a language model, ChatGPT lacks the cultural knowledge and understanding of food that humans possess.
Potential for misinformation: ChatGPT is not perfect, which poses the risk of it generating incorrect information. You don't want to be that food blogger who gives their readers food poisoning because of a chatbot.
End of food blogging or just the beginning?
ChatGPT is an extremely powerful tool that comes with some baggage. However, it is like the loooong 5 seconds you have to wait to skip a Youtube ad. It serves as a great starting point for any blog post, that can be refined by applying our personal touch to:
Emphasize authenticity by not letting a chatbot steal your thunder.
Keep your blog fresh and exciting by establishing a personal connection with your audience.
Fact- check the information and not take ChatGPT’s word as gospel.
Quiz

Season your dishes to take them to the next level. Don't be afraid to get creative with herbs, spices, and other flavor boosters.
Choosing a pan is similar to choosing a partner. A cast iron pan does wonders keeping things hot and juicy, especially meats. But when things get all clingy and delicate, a non-stick pan is the way to go.

Back to work meals
The slow, lumbering migration back to the office reached a major milestone last month when 50.4% of employees in the largest US cities commuted to work. Half empty or half full, whatever be your takeaway, work lunches are hard to make. Here are some easy recipes that you can take to work that aren’t Lean Cuisine:
Sabich Sandwich: A vegan twist on the traditional Israeli breakfast sandwich. With roasted eggplant, potato, creamy legumes and a fresh Israeli salad.
Pesto Pasta: Super simple and bursting with flavor, this high-protein vegan pesto pasta is loaded with veggies.
Orange Tofu: Crispy oven-baked tofu, coated in a sticky sweet and sour orange sauce. It's tangy, and delicious.
While this simmers…
